Meet the Founder
Hello, I’m Teresa “Raven” Meyers.
Founder | Learning Architect | Instructional Design Engineer
My journey as an instructional designer, learning architect, and educator has always been guided by one belief: learning should be personal, purposeful, accessible, and alive.
For more than 30 years now I’ve worked at the intersection of education, technology, creative design, and medicine exploring how people learn and how thoughtful instructional experiences can make knowledge more meaningful.
But some of my most influential lessons began far beyond a traditional classroom.
Where Curiosity Became Innovation
My family and I have always shared a passion for community service, cultural exploration, and experiential learning. During our time in Southeast Asia, we participated in cause-driven projects that became a living classroom for our children.
We wanted them to experience education as more than textbooks and traditional instruction. We wanted learning to be a journey shaped by culture, curiosity, compassion, and meaningful connections.
During those experiences, I began developing interactive learning tools for my children, combining cognitive science, creative storytelling, and technology to make challenging subjects more engaging.
That exploration helped inspire The Scrub Ninjas®, a collection of gamified test-preparation applications designed for medical, premedical, nursing, and high school students.
Our early MCAT Review Game demonstrated a powerful idea: rigorous academic preparation and engaging, game-based learning can coexist.
What began as a family-centered educational experiment grew into a larger vision for transforming digital learning.
The Creation of EDTECH EDU®
Today, EDTECH EDU® is a minority woman-owned instructional design, learning architecture, and educational technology firm serving businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, and mission-driven organizations.
My professional background spans industrial design engineering, instructional design, film, midwifery, and integrative health education. These diverse disciplines have shaped how I approach learning, bringing together systems thinking, creativity, scientific understanding, and a deep appreciation for human experience.
Through EDTECH EDU®, I design and develop custom eLearning, instructional systems, interactive assessments, learning management platforms, and AI-enhanced educational solutions.
Every project begins with understanding the people it serves, the knowledge they need, and the outcomes that matter.
Where Artistry Meets Analytics
I believe exceptional learning experiences require both thoughtful structure and creative imagination.
Technology should support the learner, not overwhelm them. Instruction should be inclusive without sacrificing rigor. And innovation should always serve a meaningful educational purpose.
